Daniel J. Thomas is Senior Research Officer in the College of Engineering's Welsh Centre for Printing and Coating (WCPC) at the University of Swansea, UK. He is also the founder of life science technology spin out company, 3Dynamic Systems Ltd (3DS). Dr. Thomas has a background in computational design, biomaterials development, 3-D Bioprinting and structural engineering disciplines. Daniel is an Associate Editor of various international journals, including; the Journal of Optics and Laser Technology, and the Journal of failure analysis and prevention, the Bioprinting Journal and the Journal of 3D Printing in Medicine. He leads the 3-D printing materials research programme at Swansea University. Deepti Singh worked in the UK and in South Korea before joining Yale school of Medicine, Yale University as a postdoc associate in retinal bioengineering. Her primary research interest lies in engineering of biomaterials that can influence embryonic and induced pluripotent stem cells fate. She previously worked on finding a replacement for retinal tissue affected by retinal pigmentosa or macular degeneration. Presently, for the purpose of creating a treatment for optic glioma, she is developing disease animal models. Along with working on finding novel retinal cell population for treating various retinal disorders.
