This thesis focuses on the orientational and rotational dynamics of ellipsoidal particles in complex flows. By using theoretical analysis and direct numerical simulations, the angular dynamics of ellipsoids in a linear shear flow and turbulent channel flow are further investigated, which advances the understanding of the interaction between fluid and particles in turbulence.
