In chapter 1 Dr. history Aija Jansone outlines the origin and historical development of Rucava knitwear, which has always been influenced by economic conditions (economic development level of society); psychological factors (man's desire for renewal, demonstration of aesthetic and social values) and scientific and technical development (possibility to create clothes using the latest scientific discoveries and the latest technologies). The chapter is illustrated with 97 pictures.
2.-4. in the sections "Fingers", "Mittens" and "Double Gloves" 228 gloves found on the spot in Rucava are placed, including 72 fingerings (fingers), 29 mittens and 127 double gloves (double gloves), photos taken during their collection and pattern drawings by Inga Tapiņa. It should be noted that the collection of information about the mentioned gloves began in 2005-2008. during the scientific expeditions of ethnographers, but in later years, the Rucava Traditions Club, the Rucava Handicraft Group and the "Rucava Wives" tradition group were also actively involved in this work of collecting materials.
5. Ziedīte Muze, a well-known knitting expert in Latvia, gives practical recommendations for knitting Rucavas gloves. The chapter is illustrated with 35 pictures.
The translation of the text into English opens up opportunities to popularize this important cultural heritage also in foreign countries.

Nodaļa ilustrēta ar 97 attēliem.
2.-4. nodaļās Pirkstaiņi, Dūraiņi un Dubultie cimdi ievietoti 228 Rucavā uz vietas konstatētie cimdi, tostarp 72 pirkstaiņi (pīrstiņi), 29 dūraiņi un 127 dubultie cimdi (dubulteņi), to vākšanas laikā tapušie foto uzņēmumi un Ingas Tapiņas rakstu zīmējumi. Jāpiebilst, ka ziņu vākšana par minētajiem cimdiem, aizsākās 2005.-2008.g. etnogrāfu zinātnisko ekspedīciju laikā, bet vēlākos gados šai materiālu vākšanas darbā aktīvi iesaistījās arī Rucavas tradīciju klubs, Rucavas Amatniecības kopa un tradīciju kopa Rucavas sievas.
5. nodaļā Latvijā pazīstamā adīšanas prasmju pārzinātāja Ziedīte Muze sniedz praktiskus ieteikumus Rucavas cimdu adīšanā. Nodaļa ilustrēta ar 35 attēliem. Teksta tulkojums angļu valodā paver iespējas šo nozīmīgo kultūras mantojumu popularizēt arī ārvalstīs.
