The book deals with the publication and creation of NOTAMs and SNOWTAMs as well as the Global Reporting Format (GRF) from a flight operations perspective. It is primarily aimed at airport employees working in the field of flight operations (e.g. flight dispatchers) and flight crews whose task it is to use this information to ensure safe flight operations. The work contains a comprehensive presentation of all relevant information for airport staff to write and publish NOTAMs in accordance with the requirements of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). It also provides relevant added value for all other participants in the aviation industry who need to read and understand NOTAMs. This includes in particular students in the field of air traffic management.

Afshin Montazeri studied aerospace engineering at Aachen University of Applied Sciences and is a traffic manager on duty, airside duty manager and airport representative for aircraft accidents (BFU Representative Aircraft Accidents Investigation, Aviation division). He is an aviation expert and NOTAM instructor at Cologne-Bonn Airport.





Elham Montazeri is a research assistant at the Technical University of Cologne, presenting her expertise with a Master of Education in Business Education (University of Cologne) as well as a Bachelor in Business Administration and a Bachelor in Online Editing (Technical University of Cologne).
