Few musical artists have had careers as successful, varied, and enduring as Paul Weller. From The Jam to The Style Council to his storied solo career, the man once called a spokesman for a generation and later The Modfather has done things on his own terms, and by doing so won the respect of critics and the adulation of fans. Revered in his United Kingdom home yet not as well known in America, knowledgeable music fans worldwide understand his impact and influence.

With nearly thirty studio albums, collections, and side projects to delve into, this book is a one-stop resource for all things Weller. However, it isnt simply a compilation of song facts fans can find on the internet. Instead, it combines research with artist interviews done especially for this book, as well as author stories and takes on the tracks. In addition to being Weller reference material, it is a fan and former music writers reflection on the impact Wellers music has made on his own life.
Kevin Sedelmeier holds advanced degrees in English and Teaching, but he has been attending classes at the School of Weller since 1984. Having previously co-authored Pop Goes the Culture: A Father and Sons Take on the World with his son, this book marks his second work of non-fiction. He has been a music columnist, an online sports reporter, fiction writer, and failed screenwriter. He currently teaches English and History of Rock and Roll at St. Xavier High School. He is most proud, however, to be Lukas and Masons dad. He resides in Louisville, Kentucky, with his sons and wife Elizabeth.
