Walliman (credentials not given) leads students through every step of the dissertation process with a series of questions, beginning with the philosophical Whats it all for? and ending with the more hopeful Who else might be interested in my writing? In between those questions, he explores such topics as ethics, note taking, scheduling and research. At the end of each chapter, he answers the imagined question What should I do now? with concrete suggestions to move students from theory to practice.
