"This book focuses on interesting topics in plant Biotechnology applications. The first section, It describes recent progress in genetics transformation techniques using Agrobacterium, It mentions innovative ways to design synthetic seeds. Also, it givesup to date on the phytoremediation aspects and approaches to clean up the environment. The second section is specific on some medicinal plants and their Plant secondary metabolites pharmaceutical uses and applications in curing some diseases as cancer and other diseases as well their potential as drugs against antibiotic resistance bacteria. The third section is dealing with the innovative plant molecular pharming and the usefulness and the possibility to use different plant host systems to produce and design new interesting drugs to treat different illnesses and diseases"--

The book focuses on interesting topics in plant biotechnology and its applications. The first section covers a number of specific medicinal plants and their secondary metabolites using genetic and metabolic engineering. The pharmaceutical uses of these plant bioactive compounds and their applications in treating a variety of diseases including cancer, as well as recent works on in silico and bioinformatic analysis are described. The second section deals with innovative plant molecular pharming approaches and reviews the potential for using various plant host systems to design and produce effective new drugs to treat different illnesses and diseases such as HIV, infectious diseases, and other human and livestock diseases.
