Mamy Blue was originally written with French lyrics in 1970 by songwriter Hubert Giraud. In 1971, the song became an international hit for the Spanish group Pop-Tops. The English version of Mamy Blue has also been recorded by Julio Iglesias, Roger Whittaker, Demis Roussos and many others.
