for SATB (with divisions) and organ The Church Music Society is proud to publish this mass setting by Anthony Caesar, written for St Paul's, K Street, Washington DC. The quieter sections are strongly influenced by plainsong, and the Gloria has a rhythmic vitality which will make it popular with able parish choirs. The only significant division is in the Christe section written for TTBB.

Arvustused

Anthony Caesar was a musical clergyman, and his delightful Missa Brevis Sancti Pauli is a useful resource for choirs short of rehearsal time . . . the musical language is judged to be undemanding for the listener but not uninteresting for the singers. * Rupert Jeffcoat, Choir & Organ July 13 *

Anthony Caesar is an English clergyman, organist and composer. From 1979 to 1991 he was Subdean of the Chapels Royal, and during this period was also the music editor of the New English Hymnal.
