This book provides a comprehensive overview of organic synthesis methods and techniques. Organized into four units, it covers Name Reactions, Unnamed Reactions, Rules for Organic Synthesis, Reagents, and Miscellaneous Methods including Oxidation, Reduction, Phase Transfer Catalysts, Crown Ethers, Sonication, Hydroboration and so on, and includes:

  • Essential information on modern approaches such as combinatorial chemistry
  • Practical guidance on functional group interconversions for synthesis planning
  • Structured approach to retrosynthesis for solving complex synthesis problems
  • Balanced treatment of theoretical principles and laboratory applications
  • Suitable for both undergraduate and graduate-level organic chemistry courses

The systematic approach makes this book suitable for undergraduate and graduate students in chemistry and related fields.

This title has been co-published with Manakin Press. Taylor & Francis does not sell or distribute the print edition in India, Pakistan, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
