Danai Daska was born and raised in Athens in 1980. She studied Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Psychology at the University of Athens.Istry. In 2004, she continued her studies with an MSc in Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Edinburgh. Her poems and stories have been published in collections and literary magazines in Greece and Scotland. For over 15 years, she has worked as a Creative Director in the field of advertising and communication, while also continuing to write poetry, stories, and children's books, and teaching creative writing seminars.
Her book 1000 to Squeeze a Lemon has won the State Award for Best Picture Book 2022, in Cyprus and in Greece.
