Hooray! You have a new puppy! You're going to be best friends... as long as you DON'T do the following things; DON'T teach your puppy how to play the trombone or take her to school. DON'T let your puppy drive the car or juggle with the washing up. DON'T walk your puppy at a football match or wake her when she's sleeping. DO play with your puppy, be patient with her, walk her and give her lots of cuddles and love. In no time at all you'll be best friends! This hilarious, heart-warming picture book is perfect for anyone who has (or wants) a new puppy. The brilliant follow-up to 15 Things Not to Do with your Granny and 15 Things Not to Do with a Baby, this book features the same family and this time we see them learn how to look after their new puppy!

Arvustused

"The children and puppy are all adorable and full of joy, and the watercolor, pencil, and print illustrations capture a sense of child- and puppylike energy and glee....charming and delightful." * Kirkus Reviews * "Readers are advised against hang gliding with a puppy, or letting her drive a car or wash dishes....To counter the above, essential nurturing practicescuddles and plenty of food, water, and exerciseare featured on the final pages. Breezy illustrations in a loose, sketchy style show the puppy and her two companionsa brown-skinned boy and girlhaving a blast while partaking in the illicit activities....designed to amuse." * Booklist * "The repetition and goofy situations will make for an engaging, giggly readaloud, with a list of donts that blends the practical (dont walk your puppy through a football match) with the absurd (dont teach your puppy to play the tuba)." (Recommended Review) * The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books * 'Holly Sterling's delightful illustrations are full of fun and humour, perfect for cuddling up with and sharing.' * Parents in Touch * 'Love this illustrator'  * Waterstones Durham * 'A lovely little book this, perfect for poochy pals everywhere' * Read it Daddy *
