This collection contains papers from the proceedings of the 2006 International Symposium on a World of Wireless Mobile and Multimedia Networks, held in Buffalo-Niagra Falls, New York, in June of 2006. Fifty-nine papers from the technical sessions focused on sensor networks, next-generation wireless LANs, wireless multicast, data routing and encoding strategies, energy-efficient networking, multi-hop and mesh networks, MAC enhancements, multimedia traffic and wireless scheduling, testbeds and experimental results, higher-layer protocols, QoS and performance of next-generation cellular networks, link models and optimization, and enhancements. The workshops include 37 papers on autonomic communications and computing, advanced experimental activities on wireless networks, mobile distributed computing, and trust, security and privacy for ubiquitous computing.
