This no-nonsense practical guide to clinical transplantation is a go-to, single-source book for transplant surgeons and healthcare professionals specialising in abdominal transplantation. In addition to standard topics, this book addresses sub-specialty areas such as robotics, living donation, dialysis access, immunobiology, and transplant urology. Benefiting from an international group of expert contributors, this book offers up-to-date clinical knowledge and advice on common pitfalls, decision-making algorithms and practical tips and tricks for surgical operative techniques. These are enhanced by visual mind maps that offer a rapid, at-a-glance review of each topic.
This makes it an essential resource for those taking specialist exams, such as the FRCS or European or American Boards of Surgery. Equally, it serves as a roadmap for trainees starting afresh in transplantation, as well as for general surgeons, nephrologists, and nurse specialists approaching transplantation from a new perspective.
