Dr. Laia Subirats is an Associate Professor at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Open University of Catalonia). Dr. Laias interests focus on artificial intelligence applied to neurological disabilities. Her research aims to establish a diagnosis of the quality of life and also perform social network analysis. Her interests also include artificial intelligence applications of citizen science, where she contributed to neurological diseases and seawater quality. Finally, she has also applied artificial intelligence to the world of education, focusing on the impact that COVID-19 has had on higher education, intelligent tutors, and multimodal streaming data analysis. Overall, she has published more than 30 articles in journals and conferences such as Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, PLoS ONE, International Journal of Neural Systems, NPJ Digital Medicine, Journal of Biomedical Informatics, ACM Web Science Conference, IEEE Frontiers in Education Conference and IEEE Symposium on Computer-Based Medical Systems.



Dr. Sandeep Gurung is currently working as an Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim. He has been associated with the department since 2003. Dr Gurung completed his Ph.D. from Sikkim Manipal University; his work was focused on Hybridization of Visual Cryptography and Steganography on Digital Images. His key research interests include cryptography and network security, ethical hacking and soft computing. He has published several papers and in reputable journals and conferences.



Dr. Dhruba Ningombam is currently working as an Assistant Professor (Selection Grade) in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, Sikkim. He has been associated with the department since 2003. Dr. Dhruba completed his Ph.D. from Sikkim Manipal University, his M.Tech from Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology, and his B.E. from the Government College of Technology, Coimbatore. His doctoral work focused on the architecture of cloud robotics. His key research interests include cloud robotics, robotics, and intelligent systems. He has published several papers in reputed journals and conferences. 



Dr. Nandan Banerji currently, he is working as an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, BIT Mesra (Lalpur Campus), Ranchi, India since October 2025. Before that he was attached with the Department of Computer Science & Engineering, SMIT, Sikkim (from Match 2022 to October 2025). He has around 15 years of academic and research experience. He has completed his PhD in computer science and engineering from NIT Durgapur, India in 2024. He has published several quality journals and conferences including book chapters and patents as well. His research interests include distributed systems and networks, ubiquitous computing, the Internet of Things, Service Oriented Computing and Agent Based Modelling, Intelligent Systems, and Federated Learning. In 2024, he was invited as speaker at 10th IEEE World IoT Forum, Ottawa, Canada. Also, he has been invited as speaker at the 11th IEEE WF-IoT will be held in Chengdu, China, from October 27 to 30, 2025.
