Peter Prendergast (1946-2007), painter of bold, expressionist landscapes, seascapes and self-portraits, was an outstanding artist - as celebrated in this important new publication.

Much like his compatriot Kyffin Williams, Prendergast was fiercely proud of his Welsh heritage. Yet while his commitment to Wales and its spectacular scenery is clear, Prendergast's work, and his appeal, stretches beyond the Principality - his popularity reaching America and Australia as well as the British Isles.

Complementing The Painter's Quarry (2006), this new publication will enhance our understanding of a significant painter and as such is an essential purchase for all those interested in modern British art.
