This atlas offers a comprehensive, step-by-step guide to surgical procedures using high-quality labeled surgical images, elucidating anatomical approaches for all aspects of sarcoma management. The depicted procedures guide from surgical access to dissection through anatomical layers, with vital structures, major vessels, nerves, and other crucial elements clearly marked for correlation with the sarcoma prior to resection. Covering both simple and complicated procedures, the atlas encompasses a range of surgical approaches and their modifications for sarcoma resection. Additionally, it explores various options for bone and joint reconstruction, advanced microsurgical techniques, and flap procedures. Each chapter presents cases illustrating surgical principles essential for achieving oncological margins while optimizing function in the diverse heterogeneity of sarcoma cases.

This book focuses on bone tumor resection for both upper and lower limbs, along with applicable reconstructions. It includes insights into allograft usage and cryosurgery using liquid nitrogen, as well as a chapter on computer-aided resection with 3D printing of implants.

This book enriches the repertoire of surgical procedures essential for orthopaedic oncology surgeons. It serves as a valuable reference and guide for surgeons and trainees in orthopaedic oncology, as well as plastic and reconstructive surgeons with an interest in limb salvage.

Prof. Puri is a member of the Global Steering Committee of the International Sarcoma Kindred Study (ISKS), the largest multi-institutional international trial aimed at understanding the genetic background of sarcomas. He has pioneered the development of a low-cost indigenous megaprosthesis, extensively used in India and other Asian and African nations. Additionally, he has popularized novel methods of biological reconstruction after oncologic resection. He serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Bone & Joint Surgery (formerly JBJS [ Br]), Bone & Joint-360, Bone & Joint Open, and Sarcoma. Prof. Puri has published numerous papers and book chapters, establishing himself as a leading authority in Orthopaedic Oncology.

Prof. Wan Faisham is an orthopaedic oncology surgeon at Prince Court Medical Center, a prestigious oncology center in Malaysia.
