A backpack deals with first-day-of-school jitters and feeling out of place.

In this rollicking romp through the first day of school, an anxious backpack, dragged up the stairs on its butt and stuffed into a strange new locker, feels out of place until it makes a special friend. 50,000 first printing. Illustrations.

A hilarious yet reassuring back-to-school picture book by humorist, novelist, and TV writer Simon Rich–a clever and sweet follow-up to I’m Terrified of Bath Time, where a child's backpack frets about first-day-of-school jitters!
