Business and Commercial Law and Practice applies a practical approach to a range of business and commercial topics. It discusses key topics relating to directors and shareholders of companies, including service contracts, removal of directors and minority protection of shareholders. Ordinary and limited liability partnerships are also reviewed, including the content of partnership agreements.

A number of advanced business taxation topics are dealt with including loss reliefs and exemptions and capital allowances.

Students are introduced to the buying and selling of businesses, joint venture agreements, issues relating to contracts for goods and services and the differences between distribution and agency agreements.

Next, the interpretation of business accounts, including liquidity ratios, is explained together with a final chapter discussing business insolvency.

The book is supported by many activities and links to practice which reflect the authors wide-ranging experience in business and commercial practice.

Business and Commercial Law and Practice is the recommended textbook for the CILEX Professional Stage Business and Commercial Law and Practice module, but it will also provide invaluable guidance for law students and other practitioners who are seeking to develop and update their practical and commercial skills in this area.
