Ashraf Armia is a consultant cornea, refractive, cataract, and anterior segment reconstruction eye surgeon at Al Watany Eye Hospital (WEH), Cairo, Egypt. He is the CEO of Ashraf Armia Eye Clinic, and CEO of Armias Ophthalmology Training Observer-ship Academy AOTOA, Cairo, Egypt. He is a founder member of the Global Education and Research Society of Ophthalmology GERSO and e shareholder of Al Watany Eye Hospital (WEH) and the Watany Research and Development Centre WRDC, Cairo, Egypt. He is a Fellow of The Royal College Of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow and The American College of Surgeons in Ophthalmic Surgery. Dr. Armia is a reviewer for the JCRS journal and an Editorial Board Member of the EC Ophthalmology Journal. He has been chosen as the surgeon of the month worldwide by the International Society of Refractive Surgery ISRS, part of the American Academy of Ophthalmology AAO. Finally, he has been an international lecturer and speaker since 2013 at the ASCRS, ESCRS, AAO, and AECOS.
