A wry narrator fresh from an abusive romantic debacle takes us on her journey into the skewed world of a rehabilitation center, befriending along the way fellow patient Amp, a bold woman with a destructive proclivity for self-amputation. Forced to come to terms with the ways in which she has hurt and been hurt by her family, our narrator must learn how to live life on her own terms despite her troubled past.
