Dr Rachel Swanick is the Programme Lead for Music Therapy at the University of Derby. Rachel has been a Music Psychotherapist since 2008, developing a strong attachment-focused practice to support families and therapists from a range of backgrounds. Rachel previously worked as an Early Years Teacher and has many years experience supporting parents and their children. Rachel is a trained Assessment of Parent-Child Interactions (APCI) assessor and trainer, having also co-authored the APCI training manual as well as many research articles, book chapters on attachment theory and reflective writing on the use of the arts and the role of women in society.
