Cold Comfort is the story of Graham Rowley's experiences as an archaeologist for a small British expedition sent to map and investigate the west coast of Baffin Island before World War II. Travelling by dogsled and living as the Inuit did, Rowley recounts his adventures as a young man facing a completely alien, yet fascinating, environment and culture.
