Jeffrey Kleinberg, PhD, MPH, ABPP, is a licensed psychologist in three states and is in private practice in New York City. He has a PhD in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University, a Master of Public Health degree (Global Health) from Icahn Medical School at Mount Sinai, and Certificates in Analytic Psychotherapy, Group Psychotherapy, and Supervision from the Postgraduate Center for Mental Health. Dr. Kleinberg is Professor Emeritus at LaGuardia Community College, City University of New York, and Assistant Clinical Professor in the Graduate School of Icahn Medical School. He has taught and supervised mental health professionals for more than 30 years. He is the editor of the Wiley-Blackwell Handbook of Group Psychotherapy. He is the former president of the American Group Psychotherapy Association, as well as a Distinguished Fellow, and former president of the Eastern Group Psychotherapy Society, on whose behalf he co-led a response effort after 9/11. He is board-certified (Group) by the American Board of Professional Psychology.
