Claudia Marano has a degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Università degli Studi di Roma "La Sapienza" (1993). After a two-years training course within the Italian National Research Program on innovative Advanced Materials, she attended a High School Degree in "Science of Polymer" at the Politecnico di Milano (graduation in 1999), where she is now associate professor. The teaching activity included the re-design or design of several courses for the Bachelor and Master Science Degrees in Industrial Design of Politecnico di Milano and for the Bachelor Science Degree in Materials Engineering of Politecnico di Milano. The research activity concerns the study of the structure-property correlation in polymeric materials, mainly in relation to amorphous and semycristalline polymers yielding and rubber fracture behaviour.

Francesco Briatico Vangosa has a MSc in Chemical Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 1998. PhD in Materials Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 2002. Assistant professor at Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering departiment of Politecnico di Milano from 2002. Francesco Briatico Vangosa taught in several courses of Industrial and Information Engineering and PhD schools of Politecnico, Milano. He presently teaches the following courses: "Materiali polimerici", "Principles of polymer processing", "Physico-mechanical characterization of materials Dynamic Mechanical Analysis and Rheometrey".
