Writing started as a way to make sense of the new realities I suddenly faced. But day by day, it revealed pieces of me that had been buried beneath shock and grief.
It reminded me what was real:

Alone is not lonely. Alone is not possible.
In love, there is no alone.
And love is the only real thing that remains.
As I began to observe life through new lenses, I felt compelled to document every bizarre, not-quite-your-business moment and the small, everyday occurrences that others have described as apparently dark, or dryly funny.
This book is my diary of life after loss. Mixed with the practicalities of daily life, with reflections on love, creativity, and new beginnings.
Its about creating possibilities, finding hope, and discovering that, despite the ache in the chest, life can surprise you in the most wonderful ways.
Supported by The Arts Council England, the book Diary of a Writers Wife is being published by Master and Man Books and will be released in Spring 2026.
