Abu Sadat Muhammad Sayem is Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, England, Fellow and Council Member of the Textile Institute, and Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He is an alumnus of the UK Commonwealth Scholarship Commission and the German Academic Exchange Programme, commonly known as DAAD. He obtained a PhD from the University of Manchester, an MSc from the Technische Universität Dresden, and a BSc from the University of Dhaka. He has over 20 years of professional experience of working in different roles in industry and academia, including the role of head of the department. He led the Digital Fashion Network project (20232024) funded by the Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC) in the UK. He currently works at Loughborough University. Dr. Sayem is a member of the Textile Institutes publication committee and edits the Textile Institute Professional Publication Book Series published by CRC Press/Taylor & Francis.
