Educators explain why discrete mathematics should be taught in K-12 classrooms and offer practicing and prospective mathematics teachers practical guidance on how to do it. They provide a view of the mathematics suitable that grade level, survey the resources available to teachers, and discuss how to integrate the mathematics into a curriculum both of elementary schools and of teacher training programs. The 33 papers were presented at a conference at Rutgers University in October 1992. No index. Annotation c. by Book News, Inc., Portland, Or.
