Born in Donegal, Frank McGuinness lives in Dublin andis Professor Emeritus in Creative Writing at University College Dublin. His plays include Observe the Sons of Ulster Marching Towards the Somme (1985), Someone Who'll Watch Over Me (1992), Dolly West's Kitchen (1999) and Dinner With Groucho (2022). He has written many widely staged versions of classics.
