This proceedings contains 79 papers by members of the European Federation of Explosives Engineers (EFEE), which includes 18 member countries, that were presented at the second World Conference on Explosives & Blasting, held in September 2003 in Prague, Czech Republic. The papers are grouped into the main topics of EU directives; health, safety, and the environment; technical developments; shot hole development; blasting experiences; and management of blasting operations. The papers present current research, use of new techniques, numerous case studies, and discussion of various conditions and their risk management.
