Dr Milena Dobreva is Senior Lecturer in the Department of Library Information and Archive Sciences at the University of Malta. She managed the DiSCmap project on user priorities in digitisation of special collections and coordinated the Europeana user and functionality study. Andy O'Dwyer has been with the BBC since 1986 applying technical solutions to the long term preservation of broadcast material. He has managed several European collaborative projects providing online access to parts of the BBC's newly digitized content. Pierluigi Feliciati is a Researcher in the University of Macerata, Italy. Professor Gobinda Chowdhury BSc Hons, MSc, PhD, FCLIP is Professor in Information Science at iSchool@northumbria, and Head of the Department of Mathematics and Information Sciences at Northumbria University. Before joining Northumbria University he was a Professor and Director of the Centre for Information and Knowledge Management at the University of Technology Sydney, Australia. For over 25 years he has worked as an academic and researcher in information science in different parts of the world including Asia, Africa, Europe and Australia. For the past few years he has been actively involved in the iSchools activities. Professor Chowdhury has written or edited 15 books and over 150 research papers. Sudatta Chowdhury is Lecturer in Information and Knowledge Management, University of Technology, Sydney. Nigel Ford is Professor of Information Science at Sheffield University, and is currently Deputy Director of the Information Schools Centre for Information Literacy Research. He has taught information behaviour at undergraduate and Masters level for 30 years and is a leading researcher in the field, with an extensive publication record spanning journals and books.

Aaron Schmidt is Principal at INFLUX Library Users Experience Consulting Amanda Etches is Head of Discovery and Access at University of Guelph Library. Daniel G. Dorner is Senior Lecturer, at the School of Information Management, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. G E Gorman is Professor of Library and Information Management at the School of Information Management, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Philip J Calvert is Senior Lecturer at the School of Information Management, Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Les Watson, well known for his work on the Saltire Centre, is now a freelance educational consultant on library, learning and IT issues. He has worked in education for 40 years as a teacher, lecturer, dean and pro-vice-chancellor and has managed libraries and information services in several organizations. He has considerable experience of library developments, creating, in addition to the Saltire Centre (2006), REAL@Caledonian (2001), tlc@bedford for Royal Holloway, University of London, (2008), and the Fountains refurbishment for York St John University (2011). He was lead consultant for the web resource Technology Rich Spaces for Learning in 2007 and has produced reports for the JISC and EU on aspects of learning, teaching and information technology (IT). He is a fellow of the RSA and Visiting Professor in Learning Environment Development at the University of Lincoln, UK. He can be contacted from his website www.leswatson.net. Dr Alison Jane Pickard is Head of Information and Communication Management and Director of Quality and Student Experience in the School of Computing, Engineering and Information Sciences at the University of Northumbria, where she is also Programme Leader for the new Professional Doctorate in Information Sciences. She teaches Research Methods in Information and Communication Management, Information Sciences, as well as other subject areas, and has project managed a number of JISC and AHRB research projects.
