Dr. Hong-Geun Jung (MD, PhD) is the professor of the department of orthopedic surgery, Konkuk University Medical Center, Seoul, South Korea and the director of the Foot and Ankle Division. He graduated from Seoul National University, and finished orthopedic residency in Seoul National University Hospital. He had performed foot and ankle fellowship with Mark Myerson/ Lew Schon in Union Memorial Hospital/ Mercy Medical Center, Baltimore, USA in 2002-2003.



He was the Chairman of Korean Orthopedic Association (KOA, 2022-2023) and the President of the Korean Foot and Ankle Society (KFAS, 2020-2021) and was also the Vice-President of the Korean Society of Sports Medicine (KSSM). He received many academic awards from KOA, KFAS and KSSM and is also the national faculty for AOTrauma. He has published more than 90 foot and ankle journals and written many book chapters in foot and ankle fields. He was the honorable invited speaker of the Kenneth Johnson International Speaker Award for the 2023 AOFAS Annual Meeting. He is well known worldwide for the specialty for the foot and ankle reconstruction, especially for the supra-malleolar osteotomy (SMO) of the deformed ankle arthritis.
