After stumbling across a Gladiator Arena that's trapped in time, Chance and Kay are caught and trained as gladiators. When their escape attempts fail, they're forced to fight a mythical half-wolf, half-lion beast. Will they be able to defeat this monster? And what will happen when the beast escapes into the streets of modern day Rome?
