Thirty-seven papers are presented from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers July 2009 International Conference on Global Software Engineering. Research papers are presented in sections on trust and culture, collaboration, architecture/design, communications, processes, and on- and off-shoring. Topics addressed include quality indicators on global software development projects, culture and knowledge management in distributed software development teams, collaboration patterns in global software development teams, an empirical study of trust in distributed teams, the role of distribution in the quality of software development projects, and success factors for offshore software development outsourcing vendors.
