Portrayed the son of some of Hollywood's most popular movie stars of the 40's (Spencer Tracy, Katherine Hepburn, Greer Garson, Lana Turner & Jessica Tandy). Jimmy also has the distinction of playing Jimmy Stewart & Donna Reeds son, Tommy Bailey, in the Frank Capra film classic It's A Wonderful Life. He worked together with Mr. Stewart on two other films, Cecil B. DeMille's Greatest Show On Earth and Universals, Winchester 73. Jimmy was reunited with Donna Reed when he was signed to play Shelley Fabares' boyfriend, George/Scotty, for eight seasons on The Donna Reed Show. He appeared in over 40 movies and 300 TV shows. He co-starred as Elvis Presley's sidekick in two MGM musicals, Girl Happy and Spinout. He appeared in over 40 movies and 300 TV Shows. Jimmy turned to Producing in 1970. Along with his many Produced by credits Mr. Hawkins produced the all-star Television special based on The Lux radio version of Its A Wonderful Life, in celebration of its 50th Anniversary for PBS. He is currently developing a major motion picture on the life Dr. Mary Walker. The only women in history to be awarded The Congressional Medal of Honor. Jimmy is the author of five popular It's A Wonderful Life books and sits on the Advisory Board of the Jimmy Stewart Museum. He served for 20 years on the Board of Directors of the Donna Reed Foundation for the Performing Arts. Hes involved in various charitable organizations. In 1968 he was invited by The USO & Department of Defense to entertain the troops in Viet Nam. Jimmy is celebrating over 60 years as a member of The Academy Of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
