Kopriva (U. of Wisconsin) has published numerous journal articles, chapters and books, and has presented widely on her work associated with testing for English language learners (ELLs). In her latest book, she examines test development and implementation, and provides recommendations for how to construct more appropriate content assessments for K-12 ELLs and how to interpret the test scores for this population. The goal of the book is to develop items and tests that, if properly constructed, produce results equivalent to assessments for the general population so scores can be compared across the full breadth of students. For researchers; test developers at the national, state, and local levels; teachers interested in better assessing their diverse student populations; and instructors teaching undergraduate and graduate courses on student testing.
