Dr. Ramesh Chandra Poonia is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), NCR Delhi Campus, India. He is internationally recognized for his research in sustainable technologies, focusing on energy-efficient algorithms, cyber-physical systems, and computational intelligence, particularly machine learning and data analytics. His contributions rank him among the top 2% of scientists worldwide, as recognized by Stanford University and Elsevier. Dr Poonia has completed two distinguished postdoctoral fellowships: one at the Cyber-Physical Systems Laboratory at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Norway and another through an international collaboration aimed at predicting pandemic diseases using machine learning involving Oakland University in the USA and Imam University in Saudi Arabia. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Banasthali University, India, 2013 and an M.Tech. in Data Science and Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, India. With an extensive research portfolio, Dr. Poonia has served as lead editor for numerous special issues, books, and proceedings with renowned publishers such as Springer, Taylor & Francis, and Elsevier. He is also an associate editor for the Journal of Sustainable Computing: Informatics and Systems (Elsevier) and serves as a series editor for Computational and Intelligent Systems (CRC Press). As the founder of the SUSCOM and ICSCPS conferences, he received the 2024 Research Innovation Award for outstanding contributions to advancing sustainable and intelligent systems.



Dr. Ina Thakur is a faculty member in the School of Basic Sciences at the Indian Institute of Information Technology Una, Himachal Pradesh, India (Institute of National Importance under MoE). She holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala, India.



Her research is focused on the Advanced Oxidation Processes, mainly Photocatalysis, photo-Fenton, and electrooxidation, aiming to develop sustainable and efficient technologies for water and wastewater treatment. She has published her articles in various peer-reviewed journals, including the American Chemical Society. She has also presented her work at national and international conferences, including the TEQIP-III-sponsored International Congress on Sustainable Development Through Engineering Innovations, where her work received recognition. Her long-term goal is to integrate academic research with practical engineering solutions to promote sustainable environmental management.
