The Jersey Files is a captivating collection of spine-tingling short stories, inspired by the rich folklore and ancient legends of Jersey. Crafted by talented young writers from the islands schools, this anthology weaves a tapestry of eerie tales that evoke the mysterious charm of Jerseys shores.

Award-winning author Peter J. Murray, known for his success with The Darker Side of Wight, lent his expertise to this collaborative project, guiding students through workshops to unleash their creativity. The result is a haunting array of narratives, brought vividly to life by illustrations from artist, Paul Bryn Davies.

This unique collection celebrates the imaginative power of Jerseys next generation, blending storytelling, literacy, and creativity into a mesmerising tribute to the islands cultural heritage. Perfect for fans of ghostly tales and local myths, The Jersey Files is a must-read for those who love to explore the shadows of the past through the eyes of emerging talent.
PETER J. MURRAY was born and brought up in Rotherham. He left the declining steel industry back in 1979 and entered the teaching profession, taking up a first appointment as a Maths teacher at Aston Comprehensive School. Fifteen years later, Peter progressed to Assistant Head of the famous Cheam School in Berkshire. Since the release of Peter's first children's novel Mokee Joe is Coming, his popular and spooky stories have been met with critical acclaim and continue to engage even the most reluctant of readers.
