Jun Kaneko is the first in-depth survey of the Japanese artist whose work has created a new and radical language in ceramics. Born in Nagoya, Japan, during the Second World War, but living and working in the US since the early 1960s, Kaneko has achieved international renown through his exhibitions, public art projects, lectures and workshops. He is best known for his 'dangos' - large-scale, painted forms, whose richly glazed surfaces communicate a humanity that belies their huge size.
