Mike Barfield (Author) Mike Barfield is a best-selling childrens author, cartoonist, poet and performer with books in over a dozen different languages. After a career in comedy writing for TV and radio, he turned to creating award-winning non-fiction for children built on his love of science. He is the winner of the Blue Peter Childrens Book Award 2021 for the Best Book with Facts, and has also been shortlisted for the Royal Society Young People's Book Prize, the Association for Science Education Childrens Book Prize (twice) and the De Bary Award for Outstanding Childrens Science Books (twice). A typical day in his life consists of sitting at a desk in a very untidy room surrounded by hundreds of books, while he writes and draws things he hopes will make people laugh. He lives in a small village in North Yorkshire.

Momoko Abe (Illustrator) Momoko Abe is a self-taught illustrator based in London. She grew up in Japan, and moved to the UK to study filmmaking. She still works in the TV and film industry, whilst pursuing her passion for childrens books. Momoko was shortlisted for the AOI World Illustration Award in 2019.
