Mary Kate Doman has written more than twenty books for young readers, including the Kingfisher Decodables series. When shes not writing, she consults for some of the worlds leading childrens and young adult imprints and publishing houses. She also teaches graduate-level courses in childrens publishing and literature. Mary Kate lives in Chatham, New Jersey, with her husband and daughter.

Rachael Parfitt Hunt is a graphic designer and hand-lettering artist with more than 30 years of publishing experience, mainly originating ideas for and designing award-winning pre-school novelty books and children's books.
