This book is based on the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea. This guide takes those sections of the rules that particularly affect small craft, and explains them clearly and simply. Lights, shapes and sounds are clearly illustrated, as are the basic steering and sailing rules. The full text of the regulations is included at the end of the book. The guide is suitable for both beginners and those with more experience.
