The book will be arranged into two sections; Basic Science and Clinical Science, to enable the scientist and the more clinically focused reader to readily access the required information. Topics covered will include lipoprotein structure, function and metabolism, with particular emphasis on diabetes-related changes, lipoprotein related research techniques, clinically available research tools, recent major diabetes and lipid related clinical trials, effects of lifestyle and glycemic control on lipoproteins, and the use of the major lipid modifying medications.
