Rob Fitridge is Professor of Vascular Surgery at Adelaide University and a Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at the Royal Adelaide and Queen Elizabeth Hospitals. He served as President of the ANZ Society for Vascular Surgery (2010-2012) and President of the World Federation of Vascular Societies (WFVS) (2011-2012). He has been a member of the PAD working group of the International Working Group for the Diabetic Foot since 2014 and co-Chair since 2019. The most recent guideline was undertaken with the Society for Vascular Surgery and the European Society for vascular Surgery. He was also a member of the steering committee for the Global Vascular Guidelines for Chronic Limb-threatening Ischaemia (CLTI). His research interests include wound healing and amputation prevention in diabetes-related foot disease and CLTI.



Guilherme Pena is a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon in the Vascular Unit, Flinders Medical Centre, Bedford Park, South Australia and Affiliate Senior Lecturer, Discipline of Surgery, Adelaide University, Adelaide, Australia. He trained in General and Vascular Surgery in Brazil and Australia. He completed a PhD in diabetes-related foot disease with Rob Fitridge and Prue Cowled and continues an active interest in this field.



Benjamin Thurston is a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon in the Vascular and Endovascular Service, Central Adelaide Local Health Network, Adelaide, South Australia. He has active research interests including pathophysiology of atherosclerosis and AI innovations in vascular surgery practice.



Prue Cowled is an Affiliate Senior Lecturer, Discipline of Surgery, Adelaide University, Adelaide, South Australia. Her research interests have included reperfusion injury and diabetes-related foot disease.
