A charming picture-book adaptation of a classic Milly-Molly-Mandy adventure.

Join Milly-Molly-Mandy and her friends in this gorgeous picture-book adventure, adapted from one of Joyce Lankester Brisley's original classic stories, newly illustrated by Catharine Collingridge.

Milly-Molly-Mandy lives in a tiny village in the heart of the countryside, where everyday life is full of adventures. The Village Show is coming up, and Milly-Molly-Mandy and her friend, Billy Blunt, are excited to enter their very own miniature gardens. But when Billy's garden is ruined the very day before the show, can Milly-Molly-Mandy come up with an idea to help?

Milly-Molly-Mandy Makes a Garden is a charming picture book adaptation of one of Joyce Lankester Brisley's much-loved classic stories, and is the perfect introduction for younger readers to this enduringly popular heroine – not forgetting her friends, little-friend-Susan and Billy Blunt!

Joyce Lankester Brisley was born in 1896 and studied at the Lambeth School of Art. The first Milly-Molly-Mandy stories were published in 1925 in The Christian Science Monitor, and a first collection of these stories was published in book form in 1928. An accomplished artist as well as a writer, Joyce Lankester Brisley designed posters and book jackets and also illustrated the work of other authors. She died in 1978, but Milly-Molly-Mandy's popularity lives on.

Catharine Collingridge studied Illustration at Falmouth College of Art, before working as an in-house illustrator designing packaging and promotional products. She is now a freelance illustrator working on childrens publishing and greetings cards in range of styles and media.
