Johnson (Ph.D.) is aMorrillProfessor of Animal Science at Iowa State University, specializing in(a) livability, (b) environmental enrichment, (c) on-farm welfare tools and, (d) animal-human interactions.She has led industry training programs and contributed to national initiatives like thePork Quality Assurance Program Plus and the Common Swine Industry Audit. Widely published and awarded, she is recognized for advancing animal welfare science and producer education.

Allen Jimena M. Aguiriano earned her Ph.D. in One Health Sciences from Texas Tech University in 2025. Her work bridges research and practice in animal welfare, sustainable livestock, and intercultural communication. With experience across Latin America in auditing, training, and production systems, she brings a bilingual, industry-informed perspective to improving animal care and promoting worker well-being.
