In this new collection of poetry, John David Ebert exhumes the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, transplanting its organs into the contemporary anatomy of digital post-capitalist hypermodernity, which forms a "world interior" of bytes, bits and data that capture human souls, such as that of Ebert's modern Eurydice. One of the effects of this world interior is that it changes traditional vectors in such a way that the underworld is no longer below us but everywhere around us, full of shades, phantoms, idorus and avatars. Ebert's Orpheus sets off in pursuit of the Eurydice that he has lost to the world's nighttime ocean of screens and monitors in the hopes of one last glimpse of her before she vanishes forever.
