Richard Key has won several gold medals at the Chelsea Flower Show, including a garden for a young family in 1990. He contributed to Conran Octopus's Essential Garden Book, as well as The Complete Book of Garden Design, Construction and Planting. He has three children, aged three, nine and thirteen.
