Parallel CFD is an emerging field at the forefront of computing. It is now used for design and analysis purposes in several aerospace companies. This book is a collection of articles, describing the state of the art of Parallel Computational Fluid Dynamics. Algorithms and results for realistic applications in both compressible and incompressible flow are described covering shared memory systems as well as MIMD and SIMD architectures. In addition, recommendations are presented for parallelization of large fluid dynamics codes on massively parallel systems. The special issues of load balancing and communication for CFD codes are also addressed.
