Roy Treloar has been involved with the mechanical service industry since leaving school in 1973, becoming a full time lecturer, teaching plumbing in 1985. He is currently the curriculum development manager for the Professional Training Centre at Colchester Institute where he is responsible for various plumbing, heating, gas and electrical training and assessment programmes. Roy is author of several books, including two other highly successful textbooks published by Wiley-Blackwell, the Plumbing Encyclopaedia and Gas Installation Technology.
